For this moment

“Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‘Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?’” Esther 4:13-14 (NASB)

Realized today in my journaling time that I am created for this point in time. In all my imperfections, brokenness and bad habits God created me for this time. Just as Esther didn’t have to be perfect or famous for God to use her. He created each of us for the time and place he needs us to be. I think that’s so beautiful! Encouraging too.

So today I’m showing up knowing he loves and needs me as I am. I’m not putting in extra effort to be someone else because that would be counterintuitive to my Creators design. Of course the more time I’m with him, listening to him and letting him lead me the more I’ll grow and change but I’m never going to be perfect while on this earth. And thats apparently ok with him.

How is your heart? How is your brain-space? Do you know God loves, wants and desires you just as you are? I totally understand the people-pleasing/shame filled regrets but we don’t have to place our worth on them. It’s human to feel bad about ourselves and our worth … Satan works really hard for us to feel that way … but even when depression, anxiety and over achieving take over we can still know we’re ok with God. We can’t do anything that will make him not love us. That’s pretty amazing.
