grateful

Lord…

I am feeling thankful this morning. Thank you for opening my heart today.

You gifted me with creativity which I have loved and nurtured but today I realize that creativity doesn’t stop with things; it envelopes relationships and seeing personalities and potential in others. Creativity is seeing the potential in something but mostly in someone! I am absolutely amazed at how wonderful You are to have planned this from the beginning. I focus so on the things and designated meanings but with opening my heart to You I see more. You show the deeper intended meaning.  What I take for granted…relationships, the gift of creativity, marriage, wisdom, humility….have only been given on this earth to shine the comparison of Your wisdom, plan and beautiful character.

Oh how amazing Heaven will be when we don’t only see-to-understand but actually feel Your truths.

Knowing creativity is full; has a full meaning/description…I see a personal comparison. You have created me full & deep & passionate & patient & humble & loving & determined & devoted.  I am truly Your child. This makes me beam from ear-to-ear with love and adoration. I am made in your image! Incomprehensible but oh so real. Even this morning with Your words in my ear and heart I still have to recall and refer over and over to the reality of this opened truth.

Amen Lord Jesus!

After my devotional realization I chose to look up in my Bible Concordance/Dictionary the verses found under “likeness

Likeness — Similarity

Genesis 1:26                                                                                                                                         26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

Exodus 20:4                                                                                                                                           4 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:”

Deuteronomy 4:16                                                                                                                             16 “Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, …”

Romans 8:3                                                                                                                                            3 “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

and my favorite…

Philippians 2:7 (5-11)                                                                                                                      Titled in my Bible (KJV) as “Christ, the Supreme Pattern of Humility'”                                                                                          “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:                                                         6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:                    7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:                                                                                                              8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.                                                                                                    9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:                                                                                                                                         10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;                                                                                                   11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

How great is our God?!!!

And on this note have a fabulous day knowing that you were created in the                 image of God!
